The annual exhibition of ikebana by the members of the London Chapter of I.I. was held at the Belgian ambassador’s residence by kind permission of the Belgian ambassador.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

There were also three short demonstrations by Tricia Hill of the Ichiyo school,  Sumie Takahashi of the Koryu school and Tineke Robertson of the Enshu school.

 

 

Our New Year luncheon was held in the Matsuri restaurant.  A great time was had by everyone.

 

 

 

Hansa Patel is a master of the Ikenobo school of ikebana.  Her delightful demonstration covered many different styles of arrangement, all with a theme of Christmas using appropriate colours and materials.  Also Hansa found some unusual black glass containers which would make an exciting table centrepiece at Christmas.

Atsuko Bersma is a master of the Sogetsu School of ikebana.  Her demonstration was entitled the Joy of Ikebana.

Mrs. Bersma came from Brussels and we much enjoyed her demonstration.
